Duskfade is one of those random games you come across on Steam every once in a while. It's a budget mix of 3d platforming with Kingdom Hearts combat and feels like a natural successor to games like Ratchet and Clank and Jak and Daxter.

The Captain of Venice continues Sir William Gold's adventures in Italy (and a bit of Greece) as he serves under John Hawkwood during the Great Raid on Tuscany and, later, the defense of Venice in the Chioggian War with Genoa. It covers the back half of the 1370s, and like usual is full of descriptive battles and complex continental politics.

EA Sports FC 26 (formerly the FIFA series) was given out as a PS Plus freebie this month, and while I don't purchase soccer games anymore, I'll play them if I have the opportunity. I've played a few matches of this, and it's pretty good.

Promise Mascot Agency is a game that kind of came out of nowhere for me. I hadn't seen much buzz for it, then randomly came across the steam page for it and decided to add it to my wishlist. It was recently on sale on Playstation so I picked it up there.

The Lesser Devil review

The Lesser Devil is a novella in the Sun Eater series set during the events of the first novel, Empire of Silence. It follows Crispin, Hadrian's brother, some thirty-four years after Hadrian disappears. I don't think it's strictly necessary to have read that novel first, but it definitely provides important context.

NHL 26

Every year, the sports games get me during the playoffs. One of my teams will get hot and make a run, and I'll get the urge to play that year's sports game. This year is no different, and currently the Flyers are making a run, so here I am once again playing the newest NHL game.
