Rainbow Six Vegas is a game I originally played way back in the PS3 days, but I never got very far as the tactical gameplay was a little too involved for young me. It was recently on sale for the Steam Summer Sale, so I picked it up and decided to give it a go.
After some fiddling with ini files I got my controller working perfectly, and it's pretty fun. I'm partway through the first mission, and I'm enjoying directing my squad around and playing a little more tactically than I would play a COD or Battlefield game. The game doesn't look great, being firmly in that 7th gen "everything is washed out gray and brown tones" generation, but it runs well and the sound design is great. It really holds up and besides the graphics looking a bit dated you'd be hard-pressed to know this is a 20 year old game.
I'm not positive if I'll play through the entire campaign, but for now I plan on doing so.
Verdict: Keep Playing
