The Drama stars Robert Pattinson and Zendaya as an engaged couple whose wedding falls apart after Emma (Zendaya) confesses during a conversation of with friends that she once planned a school shooting.
The confession comes about when Charlie (Pattinson) and Emma play a game with their friends Mike and Rachel, where all confess the worst thing they've ever done. Mike and Charlie's are pretty innocuous, while Rachel admits to locking a mentally disabled child in a closet overnight. Rachel then admits to planning a school shooting, and hypocritically it's Rachel who has the strongest reaction of disgust. After the confessions, Charlie slowly falls apart as he doesn't see Emma the same way, and he begins doubting their entire relationship. It's some heavy material, and while there are a few laughs and comedic moments (the photography rehearsal stands out), I wouldn't call it a comedy by any stretch.
Pattinson is fantastic here, as always, and really steals all his scenes. I'm not the biggest Zendaya fan, she always seems to have the same expression, but this is a type of role she does well.
The wedding scene goes a bit off the rails, and I thought the final scene of the movie was a little cheesy, but this was a fun watch, and I appreciated the pretty short runtime.
