I've been really grinding on Soulsilver, and I've finally completed the game and as much of the Johto Pokedex as possible. I think Heartgold and Soulsilver are the longest mainline entries, and this one definitely took me a while. Emulator speedup was a huge benefit here.

Here's where I currently stand after playing through the first two generations, catching everything available in FireRed and SoulSilver. Soulsilver, being a generation 4 game, also contains Pokemon from Generations 3 and 4. Despite this, I specifically avoiding catching anything from those generations, since I'm trying to catch everything in its original game (or remake) whenever possible. If I did catch non-Gen1 or 2 Pokemon, I didn't count them in the challenge.

Missing Pokemon from Gen 1 and 2:

• Generation 1: Pinsir, Omanyte, Omastar, Mew
• Generation 2: Chikorita, Bayleef, Meganium, Totodile, Croconaw, Feraligatr, Spinarak, Ariados, Gligar, Mantine, Phanpy, Donphan, Celebi

These will be caught at the earliest opportunity. Next up: Generation 3 and Omega Ruby
