EA Sports FC 26 (formerly the FIFA series) was given out as a PS Plus freebie this month, and while I don't purchase soccer games anymore, I'll play them if I have the opportunity. I've played a few matches of this, and it's pretty good.
Several years ago (bordering on many years ago, good lord), I played The Sea Will Claim Everything, a point and click game by Jonas Kyratzes who would later go on to work on the Talos Principle games, among others.
Promise Mascot Agency is a game that kind of came out of nowhere for me. I hadn't seen much buzz for it, then randomly came across the steam page for it and decided to add it to my wishlist. It was recently on sale on Playstation so I picked it up there.
Every year, the sports games get me during the playoffs. One of my teams will get hot and make a run, and I'll get the urge to play that year's sports game. This year is no different, and currently the Flyers are making a run, so here I am once again playing the newest NHL game.
